PERTH
Perth is the location of Verve Energy's Head Office at Australia Place.
GERALDTON
Western Power's operations in Geraldton serve as the hub for all Western Power activities in the mid-west.
CARNARVON
While gas is the major fuel used to fire the Carnarvon power station, some power is still generated by diesel. The town of Carnarvon is set for major expansion in the next few years.
BUNBURY
Not far from Muja and Collie Power Stations, Picton Depot in Bunbury is the coordinating hub for network services in the South West.
KALGOORLIE
The major mining city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, is located in the centre of the Western Australian Goldfields. Western Power supplies most of the area from the South West Interconnected Grid.
MEEKATHARRA
A new privately owned power station was commissioned in December 2003 to supply Western Power's future electricity needs for this community.
MOUNT MAGNET
A privately owned gas fired power station has supplied Western Power with the electricity needed for this mining centre since 2003.
DERBY
Although currently supplied by a diesel power station, a new gas fired power station is planned for Derby in 2006. Tidal power has previously been considered as a possible generation source in this area.
KUNUNURRA
The East Kimberley towns of Kununurra, Wyndham and Lake Argyle have been supplied power by the privately owned Ord Hydro power station since September 1996.
BROOME
Broome is one of the fastest growing regional towns in the Western Australia. A new gas fired power station is expected to be operational in Broome by the end of 2005.
HALLS CREEK
A new privately owned gas fired power station is planned to replace the existing diesel station in Halls Creek in 2006.
PORT HEDLAND
Managed by Western Power's Pilbara Branch, this town is part of the North West Interconnected System - the second largest electricity network in WA.
KARRATHA
Western Power doesn't generate electricity in this area, but buys it from independent generators and sells it on to customers.
ESPERANCE
Two Western Power wind farms, located at Nine Mile Beach and Ten Mile lagoon, provide about 25% of the power needs of Esperance while the rest is supplied from a gas fired power station.
ALBANY
Albany Windfarm is the largest Natural energy project in WA. It comprises 12, 100m tall wind turbines capable of supplying about 75% of Albany's electricity needs.
