What sort of graduates does Verve Energy employ?
Verve Energy predominantly employs graduates with electrical or mechanical engineering degrees who have completed specific power units as part of that degree.
Graduates from other disciplines such as Materials, Sustainable Engineering, Information Technology, Commerce, Finance and Environment are employed when the need arises.
How do you select people for graduate positions?
A recruitment team from Verve Energy will review your resume and your academic record. They will look for evidence of completion of specific power units and the marks you have achieved as part of your engineering degree. This will form part of the selection criteria.
Other important attributes include your ability to contribute as part of a team, your safety consciousness and your ability to take responsibility.
Verve Energy will require you to respond to a series of questions online. Your responses will be graded and your application will be ranked against other candidates. Selected candidates will be invited for an interview.
Where are the graduate positions based?
Graduates are employed in different locations depending on the need. These locations include the south west of WA and Perth.
Will you consider applications from interstate graduates?
Interstate graduates who have completed an engineering degree with specific power units are encouraged to apply.
Will you consider applications from overseas graduates?
Verve Energy is keen to hear from you if you have completed specific power units as part of a recognised engineering degree AND you are eligible to work and live in Australia. Verve Energy will not sponsor overseas graduates.
What power subjects should I complete if I want a job with Verve Energy?
Verve Energy is interested in mechanical and electrical graduates, particularly those who have successfully completed power units. Please contact Human Resources on (08) 9424 1808 for more information.
