Verve Energy is offering a Muja Cadetship to students whose permanent residence is local to Muja Power Station. The power station is located 22km east of Collie and 225kms south-east of Perth.
The Muja cadetship combines university study with paid work at Muja Power Station.
The cadetship is undertaken while studying a Bachelor of Engineering Degree, majoring in either mechanical or electrical power engineering. Verve Energy offers vacation employment during the 12 week university summer vacation.
To qualify you must
- Have a genuine interest in power engineering;
- Have a permanent residence within commuting distance to Muja Power Station;
- Be studying either mechanical or electrical power engineering at a Perth university;
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Apart from considering academic record, we look for people who are hands on and practical and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We also look at the applicant’s involvement in social, community and sporting activities and we ask for character and work references.
Successful completion of the cadetship results in graduate employment with Verve Energy at Muja Power Station. Our graduate engineer program involves professional development, mentoring and networking opportunities.
